Information Regarding the State Advisory Group
As with HIPPY advisory groups, the main
function is to provide advice, ongoing assistance, and support to
the local HIPPY programs. The advisory groups do no establish
local policy, rather it is the advisory group's ultimate challenge
to assist in sustaining existing HIPPY programs and to foster
growth within the state. Below is a representative list of the
responsibilities that State Advisory Groups may assume.

Increase public awareness of HIPPY programs and
local program activities. |

Promote program expansion. |

Offer consultation and guidance to local sites. |

Develop standards for funding qualified programs
(if applicable) |

Communicate with the state HIPPY office. |

Work to develop permanent/stable funding for
local sites. |

Advocate for HIPPY at state and local levels. |
